Anchors Away Boat yard is located at mile marker 90 on the ICWW. From the North, Marker 90 is approximately 3 miles South of the Surf City swing bridge. From the South, Marker 90 is approximately 20 miles North of the city of Wilmington. [Map] 

If you are traveling by land, Anchors Away is accessible from US Route 17 - the main north-south highway along the coast in North Carolina. We are also accessible via I-40.

From Wilmington, NC (South)
Travel North on US 17 approximately 21 miles to NC Hwy 1563 [Sloop Point Road] and turn right. (Look for the Amoco Service Station on your right.) Take NC 1563 3 miles and turn right on NC 1564. Lewis Road is about one-half mile on your left. Turn left on Lewis Road to Anchors Away. [Driving Map]

From Jacksonville, NC (North)
Travel South on US 17 past NC 210 to Sloop Point Road. (Look for BP Service Station on left.) Turn left onto Sloop Point road approximately 3 miles to NC 1564. Lewis Road is about one-half mile on your left. Turn left onto Lewis Road to Anchors Away. [Driving Map]
